The Gulan Towers is a proposed design for a competition that aims to become the landmark business center in Erbil, Iraq. The project consists of 2 office towers situated on a commercial podium featuring shops and restaurants. Due to its prominent location in the business center of Erbil, the project strives to stand out. In order to achieve a unique aesthetic appearance, the towers are dressed with a distinctive three-dimensional curtain wall clad with patterns that closely relate to the culture of Kurdistan. The 3D curtain wall with its patterns not only provides a striking appearance from the exterior but also generates a unique experience on the interior whilst protecting from the heat and brightness of the sun.
