El- Huriya is a 500 bed general hospital situated in central Iraq. Its designed in collaboration with BERVER, one of the biggest European manufacturers of climatized modules for cleanrooms and an expert in integrated design and fitting the health care, pharmaceutical, microbiological and electronic industry facilities with equipment high in technology. Covering a total built-up area of 48,000 SQM, the hospital hosts all the vital departments of a general hospital whilst also including residences for doctors.The building is conceived as several blocks, with each block assigned to a specific functional ward. All interlinked with common circulation. Each block consists of an atrium and a central courtyard in order to maximize daylight and further evoke a sense of serenity within the complex.
